The rules,kept short

Terms of use of the Yumpot app. Last updated on 13 October 2026.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Shamil Musaev, based in Sweden ("we"), about your use of the Yumpot app and this website. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

What the app does

Yumpot suggests dinners for the days you choose, builds a shopping list for them, shows each recipe step by step and lets you ask a kitchen helper about the step you are cooking. It is a tool for planning and cooking at home, for personal use.

Subscription and free trial

The app is used with a subscription. Two plans are offered:

  • Monthly: renews every month, $5.99 in the US App Store.
  • Yearly: renews every year, $39.99 in the US App Store.

Prices in other countries are set in the local currency and may include taxes. The exact price is always shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.

  • Free trial. New subscribers get 3 days free. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the plan you chose starts and is charged.
  • Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when the purchase is confirmed, or at the end of the free trial.
  • Renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancelling. You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its rules. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Rights you have under the consumer law of your country are not affected.
  • Price changes. If the price of your plan changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires it, ask for your agreement.

Food, allergies and nutrition

Please read this part. Yumpot filters recipes by the ingredients written in them. It does not know what is inside the products you actually buy, how they were made or what else is in your kitchen.

  • Always read the labels of the products you use, including for "may contain" warnings.
  • If you have a serious allergy or a medical condition, follow the advice of your doctor, not of an app.
  • Nutrition figures are estimates for one serving and will differ with the products and amounts you use.
  • Cook meat, fish and eggs through, keep your kitchen clean and use your own judgement at the stove.

The app is not medical or dietary advice and is not a substitute for it.

The kitchen helper

The helper's answers are written by an AI model. They are usually useful and sometimes wrong. Treat them as a suggestion from a friend who cooks, not as a guarantee, and do not rely on them for anything that affects your health or safety. Please do not put personal details into your questions.

Fair use

You agree not to:

  • copy, resell or publish the recipes, photos or other content of the app, other than cooking from them at home;
  • take the app apart, bypass the subscription or interfere with our servers;
  • send automated or abusive requests to the helper or the planner, or try to make them do something other than help with cooking;
  • use the app in a way that breaks the law.

What belongs to whom

The app, its recipes, texts, photos, illustrations and the mascot belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store rules allow. Your notes and answers are yours.

Apple's part

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, and Apple asks us to state the following:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence is limited to using the app on Apple devices you own or control, within the Usage Rules of the App Store terms.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Support is ours: dwhytestudio@gmail.com.
  • If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund what you paid for it. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • We, not Apple, deal with any claims about the app, including product liability, a failure to meet legal requirements, consumer protection and privacy claims, and claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property.
  • You confirm that you are not in a country under a US government embargo or named a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as those of your mobile data provider.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you once you have accepted them.

Where these terms say nothing on a point, Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies.

What we promise, and what we cannot

We work to keep the app useful and available, but we provide it as it is. We do not promise that it will always work without interruption, that every recipe will suit you or that every answer will be right.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for injury caused by our negligence, or takes away rights you have as a consumer in your country.

Changes and ending

We may improve or change the app and these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its date at the top. If a change matters to you and you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the app.

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access for someone who seriously breaks these terms. The parts of the terms that by their nature should outlast the agreement, such as ownership and liability, stay in force.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Sweden. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring a dispute before the courts of that country.
